We have been using cvs with myEclipse for years but we are retiring the server. We are contemplating what version control to use going forward. CVS has become less prevalent over the years.
Any suggestions on what to use? What give us the most seamless integration with myEclipse. CVS has been great for us. Synchronizing with repository was easy. Merging conflicts has been straight forward. Pulling down projects has been easy…
We have Windows servers and workstations and are developing both java and .Net applications.

You can work with SVN or Git. While MyEclipse has built client support for CVS, you will need to install the Subclipse/Subversive plugin to MyEclipse for SVN client support and EGit plugin for Git support. The plugins must be compatible with the base Eclipse version of MyEclipse. Ex : If you are working with MyEclipse 2015, then the plugin must be compatible with Eclipse Luna 4.4.
