Using text field input to pass to function

    Hi,

    I have a text field that when a number is entered i have the action ‘on change’ to run a javascript. My text field has the Id of ‘cost’ however I cannot seem to pass the value of ‘cost’ to a java function.

    Even if I use as a simple script : Alert(cost), nothing happens.
    Sorry used to old PLSQL programming.

    Any help appreciated.
