I need to update myEclpise from 8.5 to 8.6.

But in Configuration Center, under “Software Updates Available” , it’s saying “Detected dependency conflicts in updates”.

How do I fix this? If I need to reinstall 8.5 again, how do I uninstall it?

    labintador,

Sorry that you ran into this issue.

    1) How did you install MyEclipse 8.5 and what is the Operating System? Is it through All-In-One installer/Pulse/ Archived Update Site ?

    2) Did you add any third party plugins ? Did you use update site or dropins folder to install them?

    3) Can you paste the entire error message of the dependency conflict here for me to understand the issue better?

    4) Here are the ways you can un-install MyEclipse versions –

    (a) If you have installed using all-in-one installer, check – Start > Programs > Pulse / MyEclipse > MyEclipse 8.5 and click on uninstall MyEclipse 8.5
    (b) In case the above option is not available, you can remove the MyEclipse 8.5 folder from MyEclipse installation dir. Typically in a windows environment, if you have installed ME 8.5, the default path is C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Profiles\MyEclipse 8.5, remove the MyEclipse 8.5 folder and ensure you DO NOT remove this folder C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common
    (c) Open Pulse (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or open C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe)
    (i) Login to pulse, if you don’t have login, you can also login anonymously
(ii) Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
(iii) Select “MyEclipse 8.5” profile from “My Profiles”. From the right hand pane, verify the path under About My Profile > “Installed At” . Right click on your ME 8.5 profile and click on Delete.

Let me know how this works for you.
