Hi,
I am currently evaluating Myeclipse Blue 8.5 to replace RAD7 within our company. Today I was trying to deploy a small web app as an exploded war to the free WAS for developer 6.1 version and I noticed, it takes around 8-10 mins to actually finish the deploy.
Is this a known problem or has anyone used MyEclipse with WAS 6.1 ? Is this a working and flexible combination. Please can you advise. Are there lots of organisations using this kind of combination.

Are there any exceptions logged when you deploy the application? Can you right click on your connector under the servers view and select “View Deployment Log” and check if any exceptions are logged?
Also, can you clarify if the web project that you tested is created in MyEclipse Blue or if it is imported from RAD?I have also run into deployment time issues. I notice we cannot use enhanced mode. We use classic mode because in enhanced mode the deployment takes forever. I can have a clean deployment take many minutes – not a time lapse you would normally want. There has got to be some information on this issue with My EclipseBlue.
