When opening a jsp page in the ‘myeclipse visual jsp designer’, there is no wysiwyg type editor… only a ‘design’ and ‘preview’ tab. There is no split screen to show which part of the code you are working with. If I open the jsp using the jsf visual editor.. it appears to be accurate.

I could not replicate this issue. Can you switch to a new workspace and check if this persists. Also can you verify if the split screen is maximized. In that case, you can get the split screen by clicking the small triangle that appears top middle of the editor.
