I installed Maven1.0.2 and eclipse – 3.1.2. The Mevenide plug-in is not working.

I tried the same with Myeclipse Blue edition 6.6 and it’s not working either

In eclipse, when I click on Windows ==> Preferences ==> Maven ==>

Getting a message – ‘Preference Page Creation problems’.

Unable to create the selected preference page

Reason:
Plug-in org.mevenide.ui was unable to load class org.mevenide.ui.eclipse.preferences.pages.MevenidePreferencePage.

Could you please let me know, what’s causing this issue.

Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!

What version of Eclipse is this plugin compatible with? You should cross post this query on the Mevenide forums as well.

The plugin provided by mevinide is compatible with eclipse version3.1.2

The base eclipse version of MyEclipse 6.6 is 3.3 so thats the reason why the plugin is failing. I would suggest you stick with Maven4MyEclipse?

Nipun – Thanks for the info… I am using eclipse 3.1.2 and lot of my colleages were successfull in using mevinide, but only for me, I am getting

Also, I ran ‘maven plugin:download’ to install the Maven SCM Plug-in. Could you please let me know, what’s causing this issue? Is there anyway I can un-do all the plug-in install of Maven?

You should check the Eclipse 3.1.2 issue with the Eclipse team. They are more familiar with the Eclipse related issues.
