Is there a way to configure a JBoss Application Server connector control port to other than the default?

Using MyEclipse 3.8.3 on Eclipse 3.0.1 with various JBoss versions.

The default bootstrap JNP service is port 1099. Unfortunately there is another server-service using that port so JBoss has been configured to use an alternate.

However there seems to be no way to inform MyEclipseIDE the control-port has changed.

Really it should honour the settings in JBoss’s conf\jboss-service.xml

Actually, we do honor all the settings in the jboss-service.xml file. All you’re telling our connector is where your JBoss install is and what instance you’d like to use. The internal configuration of JBoss is still performed by editing the various configuration files and all settings there are honored because JBoss reads them at boot time.
