I installed 8.6-win32 on 3 different Windows Versions all present the same error.

    details follow:

    install 8.6 Full
install RCP SDK via pulse from the “Public Sites|Eclipse 3.5 (Galineo) Discovery|Uncategorized|Eclipse RCP SDK”

it will ask you to reboot, upon rebooting you will get the “The Myeclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library.”

I am currently working around it by launching myeclipse with the “eclipse.exe” executable instead fo the myeclipse.exe

Just thought someone might want to know about this little bug.

and incase someone is wondering why I need to install Eclipse RCP SDK, the “Full” myeclipse install is missing all of the schemas and source.

    BlakeBinkley,
Can you do a “Reinstall then Run” from the pulse explorer and verify if that fixes the issue?
Let me know how that works for you.

that seems to have worked, I’m guessing this is a known bug and I’ll have to do this after each install?

    BlakeBinkley,

    that seems to have worked,

Good to know that your issue is resolved.

I’ll have to do this after each install?

This is not required always. When installing some plugins, the myeclipse.ini file may be lost. In such cases, a reinstall and run generally fixes the issue.
