Hi therem
I’m currently running myeclpse 4.1.1 with eclipse sdk 3.1.1.
For some reason when eclipse searches for updates it doesn’t see the eclipse SDK 3.2 update. Can anyone tell me why this would happen.
I want to upgrade to myeclipse 5 but can’t before i get eclipse to upgrade to 3.2.
Any help is much appreciated.

You really can’t “upgrade” from 3.1 to 3.2 due to all the changes in API. What I’d suggest is simply downloading and installing a new Eclipse 3.2 SDK and then installing MyEclipse 5.0GA to use it. Then, you can open your existing workspace to work with the new version. More details are in the announcement here:
