Hi!,

I am getting errors when using the web installer of MyEclipse for Spring 8.6 for Ubuntu 10.10. I have tried both Firefox 3.6.12 and Google Chrome. It seems the apple doesn’t initialized. JRE is configured and also the web browser plugin.

When manual installing the package myeclipseforspring-8.6.0-linux-gtk-x86_64, I get no result with the executable myeclipseforspring-installer.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have looked for similar entries in the forum or an installation manual for Linux w/o success.

Sorry to hear you are running into issues while installing ME4S. Can you please answer below queries –
1. How are you trying to install ME4S? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site?
2. Can you attach a screenshot which will help me get a visual

In case you have used all-in-one installer, I would recommend you please validate the file size and md5sum of the installer matches that mentioned in the download site

Alternatively, you can use pulse to download ME4S. Here are the steps –
1. Download and install pulse from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
2. Login to Pulse
3. To download ME4S 8.6, please select “Eclipse-Galileo” realm from top left hand corner drop-down
4. Expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular
5. From the right hand pane, right click on “MyEclipse for Spring” and click on [run]
6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
