Hi ,
Most of the time our EAR deployment failed or stuck up in the middle. We dont know what is reason. In the deployment popup when it was trying to do the cleanup and start the installtion of the ear the popup is automatically closed and the deployment is stopped in the middle. 1. Can you please share the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ? Paste them here for us.

2. Is this EAR created in MyEclipse or migrated from elsewhere ?

3. What deployment mode have you configured in the WebSphere 7 server connector?

4. What is the structure of your application, how many EJB / Web projects in your EAR? What J2EE level do these projects use?

5. Can you please check the server logs for more information ? You can find them at <WebSphere dir>\AppServer\profiles\WCS\logs\-yourservername-.

Enhanced Mode

One web project inside the EAR. J2EE level is 1.6 (Attached the screenshot for your ref)

5. Can you please check the server logs for more information ? You can find them at <WebSphere dir>\AppServer\profiles\WCS\logs\-yourservername-.

I think logs are not from the above location. The logs are inside C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv03\logs\server1 But it doenst have much information. If you want , Please specify the particular log file I will send that.

Hi,
The attached one is successful deployment screen shot. This is not consistent. If the EAR is not deployed properly then the Status will be in “Redeploy” only. Not with “OK”.

Please stop yor server, delete every file you find under C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv03\logs\server1 and C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv03\logs\ffdc (its fine if you will be unable to delete some of the files even while the server is stopped).

Then start the server, reproduce the bug, zip both log folders mentioned above and attached the zip to your post.

I also have a couple of questions:
1) If I got it right, deployment fails only sometimes. Do you see any pattern in when it fails?
2) Did you try reducing J2EE level to 1.5?

You’ve mentioned that one of the projects is JEE6, which one? Officially, WebSphere 7 does not support JEE6 projects, so that may be the cause of the failure.
