Ok, folks. This is not a ME question. But, I am certain that someone around here has done this. I am trying to get Derby/Cloiudscape on JBoss 4.0.1.
I get the following:

11:36:04,744 ERROR [MainDeployer] could not create deployment: file:/E:/java/AppServer/jboss-4.0.1/server/default/deploy/derby-ds.xml
org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.jboss.jdbc.DerbyDatabase; - nested throwable: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.jboss.jdbc.DerbyDatabas

Well, I decided, for the sake of being on “the same level ” with ME folks who are in love with JBoss, I better try everything on JBoss first. Then, I might either stick with JBoss or back to Jonas, with some experience in hand.

I’m just guessing on this one, but it doesn’t look like you’ve got a JDBC driver for Derby available on the classpath in the deployment. Perhaps you need to drop a jar containing the driver into WEB-INF/lib?

Except it’s a JBoss driver. I have no idea if its a config issue, or a classpath issue. Cause I’m sure they have their bundle of drivers in one place. I was hoping someone would have gone thru this, and point it out to me.

Nat,

It’ll have to be someone other than me unfortunately as I’ve never used Derby. However, I did find some JBoss/Derby discussions here:

More googling could perhaps yield more.
