vnguyen972MemberHi there, I have noticed that I could not use Ctrol+Space to show me the proposals on anything anymore in MyEclipse. I usually do that with Eclipse but in MYEclipse it won’t let me. The only time it will work if I re-type the “dot” and it’ll show the drop down list of the proposals.. but if i already have the dot at the end of an object and Ctrl+space, it doesn’t show me anything… any idea anyone?
Thank you.
Riyad KallaMemberCan you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

Riyad KallaMemberOk next step is to give me a code snippet of what you are trying to execute autocomplete on. Please also specify the type of file you are editing (.java, .jsp, etc) also right click on the file, go to Open With, and let me know which editor is being used to open the file (the one with the dark dot next to it).
vnguyen972MemberOh my god… i’m such an idiot.
when i tried to do exactly what you suggested to provide the info you need; then I realized something. Everytime I hit Ctrl+Space… my Windows Instant Messenger went directly to “busy” status. So I thought maybe there was something in there to use that key combination… so I went in Win IM and voila… there’s something called “boss-mode” to have this Ctrl+Space to be the trigger to change the status to “Busy”. I turned that “boss mode” off and voila, i have no problem in My Eclipse anymore!!!
Thank you for taking your time to help me!!!
Riyad KallaMemberHah, that’s definately a first. I’m glad you noticed that though, that’s a very subtle thing to change and would have been a nightmare to debug.
Glad you got it.
