AmoonkaSMemberHi There
Am running Mobi One v 2.6.2 (20140319) on Windows 8 and I cannot find the www directory created by Mobi One at all. I would have expected the <project name>-www directory in the same place as the Mobi one Project file. However, the directory only contains the .MOBI file, nothing else.
Where can I find these files? I need to add the “hidden” attribute to an audio element, so really need to locate the file..Thanks
support-octavioMemberHi AmoonkaS,
Did you set your main screen as a startup screen? If yes, look up for your files in the /www/<app Name> folder. Hope this is helpful.
AmoonkaSMemberHello there
Thanks for the prompt reply, yes, I did have the main page as the startup screen. All I did was take the basic (Blank) template and add controls to it. Cannot see the generated files other than the .mobi file- in fact there is no www directory at all, even if I run it in the emulator (I thought that the www directory is created once the project is run in the emulator).
Where are the files? I have looked up the properties of the project, and looked at the path. The .mobi file is found at that path, but no www folders are created. I’ve done a global search for any www folders and the only ones are those from another tool I’m using.
Thanks,
Code_AMemberI am assuming since you said you ran the project in the emulator that your project files have been generated…somewhere.
The only thing I can think (and it may be a long shot) is that windows is preventing the files from being written to the project location. Check the hidden VirtualStore directory under your user directory to see if the files are showing up there instead. If so, then you will need to give your user profile full control of your project’s directory to allow direct write access from MobiOne.
support-octavioMemberHi AmoonkaS,
Also consider that latest updates of Mobione when you create a new design and generate files for it, those files should be located at <.mobi file dir>/www/<my app>. Let me know how it goes.
AmoonkaSMemberThank you Octavio
I’ve solved the problem. All I had to do was to check the box “StartupScreen” under Properties of the .mobi project and the www directory miraculously appeared, and I can see all the files. Prior to that I did ask Windows 8 to show any hidden files or folders via Control Panel, but they files were still not visible. The directories were created AFTER I selected the Startupscreen properties, so Windows did not have much to do with it.Hope this helps others….
support-octavioMemberHi AmoonkaS,
Thanks for closing the loop, glad the problem is solved. Closing thread.
