    Hi,
I have read about and am keen to try the mobione software. After downloading the free trial and running the installer, AVG gives me a malware threat warning about spy software being included……
    Is there any logic here?
    Thanks
    Randal

    Hi Randal,

I just ran the MobiOne installer with AVG and observed a spyware warning early during the installer launch phase. The “Malware detected” report is a FALSE REPORT by AVG. The file(s) in question by AVG are typical temporary files created and removed during the installation process by any installer. We will contact AVG to request they improve their spyware detection heuristics.

In the meantime please select the “Allow” option at the bottom of the warning screen.

We found that a recent update among antivirus systems caused some of them to falsely report that MobiOne to be infected. We made an minor update in MobiOne 1.1.2 (released 20110330) that improves A/V compatibility. We tested on over 20 different A/V scanners including AVG successfully.
