apoetzMemberHi Octavio…sorry but I’m confused. I have MobiOne installed on my PC – should I be downloading this app to my PC? I do have a Mac but I have abandoned it since the MobiOne files do not seem to want to upload successfully to their application loader. Should I be downloading the app you directed me to, on my Mac? If so, how do I finish using MobiOne (on my PC) to upload the files to iTunes Connect?
One thing I didn’t mention is that prior to the upload, MobiOne asked if I wanted to install the latest updates and I said “yes”. Then one of the files didn’t work so I had to create it again. Then it worked. But the upload didn’t work and gave me that error message I reported in my last posting. Could this be part of the problem?
Please advise…
Thanks!
Unknown AuthorParticipantThey really do have some great documentation on this website which steps you through the whole process.
Mobione files –>[Compile in the Genuitec Cloud]–>receive .api file–>transfer .api file (only this file) to your Mac –> upload to iTunes using Application Loader
Easy 🙂

apoetzMemberHi Octavio and Thinchip,
Thanks for your replies.
Octavio, I tried the link you sent and all it does is download a zipped file by the name of: l1x0x0WlEq0UrvSsICXpKg== 2.cpgz. How am I supposed to save this as an .ipa file and use it? Alternatively, is this app available on the apple app store…and if so, what is its name so that I can search for it in the app store?
Thinchip – can you please direct me to the site that has step by step instructions?
Thanks to both of you – please put the dots really close together for me, as this is my first time doing this…in other words please do not assume I know the in-between steps…
🙂
support-octavioMemberNote that URL I shared is the one that mobione give you to download your generated app. So save it with the name that you want but with extension .ipa and use this file on itunes connect to upload it.

Hope this is helpful. Let us know how it goes.
apoetzMemberQuestions:
Am I uploading this using MobiOne on my PC, OR am I supposed to use my Mac? For whichever one, can someone PLEASE TELL ME STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS. I am completely frustrated and can’t figure this out on my own.
Since my last post I have gone through all the steps to build the iOs on MobiOne, gotten right to the end where it says it “Finished ok” and gives me a new URL where I can find the app online…now what?
Thanks in advance…
support-michaelKeymasterIs the app (.ipa file) not downloading for you? Look for a new subdirectory with name <project>-ios that is created when your app build completes and is automatically downloaded by MobiOne. You typically should not have to download the app from App Center unless there is some type of very slow network timeout or other glitch between your site and App Center.
Here is a screenshot of my project that I created earlier today while testing a new feature.

apoetzMemberHi Wayne,
That is the problem – I think there is some kind of glitch and I need help how to fix it. I get to the very last point where it looks like it is building the app for me but then it gives me this screenshot:
See attachment MobiOneErrorMessage.jpg
When I posted this before, I was told I had to download it from the link provided and change the zip file into a .ipa file. Can you please tell me what to do…thanks!

Yes, that is correct.
1) Click the link to download the file
2) rename it to the executable file name you provided in the build wizard. Be sure to add the file extension “.ipa” – omit the quotes. This will be the fill you upload to the iTunes appstore using the Apple application loader app or send to http://www.appstoreuploader.com if you don’t have a mac.
3) if you are uploading it yourself to appstore then make sure that you can access the app file from your mac.
4) review the iTunes Connect docs and ensure you have your app configured correctly with iTunes (google for the doc)
5) cross fingers and upload the app
Common problems we see from users who’s apps fail to upload or get rejected:
– if you don’t follow the art requirements exactly apple will reject your app.
– be sure that you used an appstore distribution profile when building your app
– your app’s UI should be sufficiently good that the apple reviewer will approve it. So don’t send a hack of a UI and expect apple to OK it; if it sucks they will tell you.Good luck my friend.
apoetzMemberTHANK YOU! It worked! (and crossing my fingers helped too…)
