As far as flaky warning markers I think we ran out of time evaluating them and hope to address it in 6.0, but the validator issue you found I’ll test right away, that shouldn’t be happening you are right those should be tied to the JSP validator… hang tight while I try and reproduce this.

After some more digging it seems taglib-validation in general is tied to the HTML validator. I’ve filed the bug.
